As one of the latest powerhouse technologies in the skincare world, the Vivace device delivers a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency to shrink pores, tighten skin, and provide a genuinely youthful glow.
Both microneedling and radiofrequency technology can stimulate the production of collagen in the skin. However, they do so in different ways. The idea behind Vivace is to combine these two types of collagen production to bring about incredible results for noticeably younger-looking skin.
Microneedling
Microneedling stimulates the production of collagen through the use of tiny pinpricks in the skin. Creating these “mini-injuries” skin signals the skin cells to create more collagen-rich tissue in order to promote healing. The collagen-rich tissue then lends itself to smoother, more youthful skin.
Radiofrequency
Radiofrequency uses heat to encourage collagen production. When heat collects in the skin, it promotes blood flow and lymphatic circulation, promoting collagen and elastin production.
As collagen and elastin both plump the skin, they push back against wrinkles and fine lines, leading to smoother skin that looks younger for a longer period of time.
Vivace Candidates
This procedure is fairly simple and can be used to address many different areas of concern on the face. Vivace can be used to treat:
- Redness
- Textural issues
- Loose-looking skin
- Acne scarring
Each skin issue will be addressed in a slightly different manner. The depth and intensity of both the microneedling and radiofrequency can be adjusted to create a custom treatment.
The Vivace Timeline
Vivace is a procedure that has no downtime and only mild discomfort at most.
Thirty minutes before your Vivace session begins, your practitioner will apply a mild numbing cream to the area to be treated. The treatment itself is quick and simple. Usually, it will be followed up with a cooling mask.
Though you can expect to see a little bit of redness immediately after your treatment, there is no required downtime. Any redness or tenderness should be gone by the next day.
For best results, four sessions that are one month apart are recommended, though this can be increased to eight sessions for more noticeable acne scarring.
